About us

Handfulness was created by Lena Stølen and Kristine Lillevik. We are two founders and friends who longed for a moment of calm in a busy workday. After many years of living at a fast pace, we wanted something that could bring ease to the body, clarity to the mind, and shift focus away from screens and constant demands.

Handfulness is also a story shared across generations. When our daughters, Oda and Synne, fell in love with the concept, they jumped right on board. Today, they are  partners and head of all our content and social media. Working side by side allows us to bridge generations—uniting the handcraft we learned from our mothers with the bold energy of youth to make Handfulness a true family venture. And while we are based in Oslo, our hard-working daughters are operating from New York and Amsterdam.

With our shared passion for making things by hand, we also noticed that many craft projects were left unfinished – not due to a lack of desire, but because they were too complicated. That’s why we wanted to create craft kits that offer calm rather than performance pressure. Something simple and intuitive where using your hands is at the heart of the experience.

We belive whatever you choose to create, the final result is simply a lovely bonus. What truly matters is the quiet space you give yourself along the way. Because when it comes down to it, we don't sell products; we sell hours of pure, well-deserved relaxation.
